The cry of the city like a siren's song
Wailing over the rooftops the whole night long
Saw a shooting star like a diamond in the sky
Must be someone's soul passing by
These are the streets
Where we used to run where your Papa's from
These are the days
Where you become what you become
These are the streets
Where the story's told
The truth unfolds
Darkness settles in
Shine your light down on me
Lift me up so i can see
Shine your light when you're gone
Give me the strength
To carry on, carry on
Don't wanna be a hero
Just an everyday man
Trying to do the job the very best he can
But now it's like living on borrowed time
Out on the rim, over the line
Always tempting fate like a game of chance
Never wanna stick around to the very last dance
Sometimes i stumble and take a hard fall
lose hold of my grip on the wall
Shine your light down on me
Lift me up so i can see
Shine your light when you're gone
Give me the strength to carry on
Carry on
I thought i saw him walking by the side of the road
Maybe trying to find his way home
He's here but not here
He's gone but not gone
Just hope he knows if I get lost
Shine your light down on me
Lift me up so i can see
Shine your light when you're gone
Give me the strength to carry on
To carry on

Artist: The Killers Title: Mr. Brightside
Coming out of my cage
And I've been doing just fine
Gotta gotta be down
Because I want it all
It started out with a kiss
How did it end up like this?
It was only a kiss
It was only a kiss
Now I'm falling asleep
And she's calling a cab
While he's having a smoke
And she's taking the drag
Now they're going to bed
And my stomach is sick
And it's all in my head
But she's touching his chest now
He takes off her dress now
Let me go
And I just can't look
It's killing me
And taking control
Jealousy
Turning saints into the sea
Turning through sick lullaby
Joking on your alibi
But it's just the price I pay
Destiny is calling me
Open up my eager eyes
I'm Mr. Brightside
(repeat)
And I've been doing just fine
Gotta gotta be down
Because I want it all
It started out with a kiss
How did it end up like this?

It was only a kiss

Artist: Tim McGraw Title: One of These Days
Used to chase that boy home from school
We called him frekled-faced, red-headed fool
He was different...he wasn’t cool like me
Sticks and stones didn’t break any bones
Bet we never left well enough alone
And one day he ran away from home, you see
And I passed him as he walked away
And in his eyes I heard him say
’one of these days you’re gonna love me
You’ll sit down by yourself and think
About the times you pushed and shoved me
And what good friends we might’ve been
And then you’re gonna sigh a little
Maybe even cry a little but
One of these days you’re gonna love me’
Patty sue was a small town beauty
I took one look at her and had to pull her to me
Lord knows she should’ve seen right through me
When I promised her the world
But at 17, you only want one thing
I left her standin’ there with my high school ring
Innocent tears in the pourin’ rain
As I walked away
And I still see her in my dreams
And to this day she’s whispering
’one of these days you’re gonna love me
You’ll sit down by yourself and think
About the time you turned from me
And what good friends we might’ve been
And then you’re gonna sigh a little
Maybe even cry a little but
One of these days you’re gonna love me’
Now everybody stands up
The congregation sings
It’s a song of sweet forgiveness
And as the chorus rings
The wind blows clear my memory
The pages start to turn
Then suddenly I’m singin’
The moment that I learn
One of these days I’m gonna love me
And feel the joy of sweet release
One of these days, I’ll rise above me
And at last I’ll find some peace
Then I’m gonna smile a little
Maybe even laugh a little but
One of these days I’m gonna love me
We called him frekled-faced, red-headed fool

Artist: Garth Brooks Title: The Dance
I've heard this song on the radio almost everyday for the past few weeks... I think that means something.
Looking back on the memory of
The dance we shared 'neath the stars alone
For a moment all the world was right
How could I have known that you'd ever say goodbye
And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance
Holding you I held everything
For a moment wasn't I a king
But if I'd only known how the king would fall
Hey who's to say you know I might have chanced it all
And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance
Yes my life is better left to chance
I could have missed the pain but I'd of had to miss the dance
No matter how much you make fun of me for doing things that are beyond cheesy, none of what I do could ever top the day you brought a casette tape to my house and danced with me in my living room so we could officially have a song. I understand very well that whatever happened once or twice is now beyond over and I know that you don't really care... but for the first time, neither do I. For as long as I can remember you have been at the forefront of my mind and now this is no longer the case; I am finally content with the way things are and I am loving every minute of it. Thank you for everything.

Artist: Vince Gill Title: When You Come Around
The face of an angel, pretty eyes that shine
I lie awake at night wishing you were mine
I'm standing here holding the biggest heartache in town
Whenever you come around
Chorus:
I get weak in the knees, and I lose my breath
Oh I try to speak but the words won't come
I'm so scared to death
And when you smile the world turns upside down
Whenever you come around
I feel so helpless, I feel just like a kid
What is it about you that makes me keep my feelings hid
I wish I could tell you, bu the words can't be found
Whenever you come around
Repeat chorus
And when you smile that smile
The whole world turns upside down
Whenever you come around
Whenever you come around
I lie awake at night wishing you were mine
I'm standing here holding the biggest heartache in town
Whenever you come around
Chorus:
I get weak in the knees, and I lose my breath
Oh I try to speak but the words won't come
I'm so scared to death
And when you smile the world turns upside down
Whenever you come around
I feel so helpless, I feel just like a kid
What is it about you that makes me keep my feelings hid
I wish I could tell you, bu the words can't be found

And when you smile that smile

Artist: Stevie Nicks Title: Landslide
I took my love, I took it down
Climbed a mountain and I turned around
I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills
'Till the landslide brought me down
Oh, mirror in the sky
What is love
Can the child within my heart rise above
Can I sail through the changing ocean tides
Can I handle the seasons of my life
Well, I've been afraid of changing
'Cause I've built my life around you
But time makes you get bolder
Even children get older
And I'm getting older too
Oh, take my love, take it down
Climb a mountain and turn around
If you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well the landslide will bring it down
If you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well the landslide will bring it down.
Climbed a mountain and I turned around
I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills
'Till the landslide brought me down
Oh, mirror in the sky
What is love
Can the child within my heart rise above
Can I sail through the changing ocean tides
Can I handle the seasons of my life
Well, I've been afraid of changing
'Cause I've built my life around you
But time makes you get bolder
Even children get older
And I'm getting older too
Oh, take my love, take it down
Climb a mountain and turn around
If you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well the landslide will bring it down
If you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well the landslide will bring it down.

Artist: Buddy Jewell Title: If She Were Any Other Woman
If she were any other woman
I wouldnt going home right now
Id stay out a little while longer
Put another coat of paint on this town
Is she was any other woman
Id go home just to keep the peace
But Ive found shes where I find it
So thats where I want to be
If she was any other woman
She wouldnt have this hold on me
Ain't no woman like my woman
So there ain't no other man I'd rather be
If she were any other woman
Lord knows she might of thought twice
Bout hanging all her dreams on a dreamer
Cause it aint' been any easy ride
IF she were any other woman
No tellin where I'd be right now
She keeps my head from turning
And my feet on solid ground
If she were any other woman
She wouldnt have this hold on me
Ain't no woman like my woman
So there ain't no other man I'd rather be
She wouldn't stay on my mind
Mornin noon and night
She wouldnt move me like she does
If she were any other woman
She wouldn't have this hold on me
Ain't no woman like my woman
So there ain't no other man I'd rather be
Ain't no woman like my woman

Artist: Keith Urban Title: Making Memories of Us
I'm going to miss your serenading me to the cheesy country music on the radio.
I'm gonna be here for you baby
I'll be a man of my word
Speak the language in a voice that you have never heard
I wanna sleep with you forever
And I wanna die in your arms
In a cabin by a meadow where the wild bees swarm
And I'm gonna love you like nobody loves you
And I'll earn your trust making memories of us
I wanna honor your mother
I wanna learn from your pa
I wanna steal your attention like a bad outlaw
I wanna stand out in a crowd for you
A man among men
I wanna make your world better than it's ever been
And I'm gonna love you like nobody loves you
And I'll earn your trust making memories of us
We'll follow the rainbow
Wherever the four winds blow
And there'll be a new day
Comin' your way
I'm gonna be here for you from now on
This you know somehow
You've been stretched to the limits but it's alright now
And I'm gonna make you a promise
If there's life after this
I'm gonna be there to meet you with a warm, wet kiss
And I'm gonna love you like nobody loves you
And I'll earn your trust making memories of us
I'm gonna love you like nobody loves you
And I'll win your trust making memories of us
I'm gonna be here for you baby
I'll be a man of my word
Speak the language in a voice that you have never heard
I wanna sleep with you forever
And I wanna die in your arms
In a cabin by a meadow where the wild bees swarm
And I'm gonna love you like nobody loves you
And I'll earn your trust making memories of us
